Ensembl Mosquito What's New v7.1.1 (1 July 2002)

Ensembl: Latest Developments
v7.1.1 schema update
Ensembl Mosquito release 7.1.1 is mostly a schema update, made to accompany the new Human 7.29.1 release.

The only mosquito database affected is anopheles_gambiae_lite_7_1. The other mosquito databases have been renamed, but the data and schema are unchanged.
Note that the multi-species databases ensembl_compara_7_1 and ensembl_mart_7_1 are new for this release.

   Mosquito Assembly 1
The International Anopheles Genome project is a collaboration between Celera Genomics, Genoscope, University of Notre Dame, EBI/SangerInstitute, EMBL, Institut Pasteur, IMBB and TIGR. It was mainly funded by NIH-NIAID and the French Ministry of Research to provide the sequence of Anopheles gambiae, the major African Malaria vector. Celera Genomics and Genoscope were respectively funded by the NIH and the French Ministry of Research to generate a whole shotgun assembled by Celera. Celera and Ensembl have collaborated to produce an initial annotation of its sequence.
